The exact dates and  schedule is to be confirmed. The following information is based on 2020.

Date:
Labour Weekend October 2023
Where: Jam Tse Dhargyey Ling Buddhist Centre, Whangarei.
Time: 9:00am to 6:00pm daily

Mind and Mental Factors:
This weekend retreat is your invitation to gain a deeper understanding of how our minds work in order to develop a more peaceful, harmonious and happy life.
The study of our mind and mental factors is important, as all of our actions – positive, negative or neutral, are always motivated by our Mind which ultimately affects our experiences in life.
If we are able to develop our mind in a positive way, we will gain positive results.  Understanding this and the connection between our mind, mental factors and experiences will help us gain more stability and joy, not only for us but also for all of those who surround us.

About Green Tara
Green Tara is one of the most beloved figures in Tibetan Buddhism.
As a Bodhisattva she helps people pass beyond the troubles of earthly existence and move toward enlightenment.  She also protects people from numerous worldly dangers. The loving expression on the sculpture’s face embodies Tara’s maternal compassion.
‘Tara’ means ‘Rescuer’. She is so-called because she rescues us from the eight outer fears, the fears of lions, elephants, fire, snakes, thieves, water, bondage, and evil spirits, and from the eight inner fears, the fears of pride, ignorance, anger, jealousy, wrong views, attachment, miserliness, and deluded doubts.

Geshe-la will teach in Tibetan and his teachings will be translated from Tibetan into English.

ALL WELCOME   Registration is essential. Please email dharmanewzealand(at)gmail.com for registration from.
